The 2010 Tundra Double Cab 4x4 has a number of trim styles with the stylish features and luxurious amenities to win the admiration of those with a penchant for the finer things in life, while the base trims offer convenient and useful features without frills for those who just like to get down to business. There are two engine options available for the Double Cab 4x4, a 4.6L V8 and a 5.7L V8. Both can be found on several trim styles, including Base, Long Bed Base, Limited, and FFV versions.
The 2010 Tundra received high marks from Edmunds who commented, "This highly respectable finish is due in no small part to the Tundra's burly chassis and powerful 5.7-liter V8 engine option." Tough mechanical equipment found on every trim includes a 4WDemand system with an electronically controlled 2-speed transfer case, rack-and-pinion hydraulic power steering, and power assisted four-wheel anti-lock brake system. The suspension package includes front independent coil-spring high-mounted double-wishbone suspension with a stabilizer bar, and low-pressure nitrogen gas shocks; and a rear live axle with trapezoidal multi-leaf rear suspension, and staggered outboard-mounted low-pressure nitrogen gas shocks.
Drivers will enjoy convenience features such as two front 12-volt powerpoints and an additional rear 12-volt powerpoint, a front and rear maplamp, an illuminated entry system, power windows and door locks, and two-way adjustable front headrests.
Of course, each new Double Cab 4x4 comes with tried-and-true safety features, such as the Star Safety System, 3-point seatbelts in all seating positions, child protector rear door locks, and a tire pressure monitor system.
